Koy is One!!!!

We cannot believe that this little Mr is one today! This past year has gone by so fast and Brig and I feel like the luckiest parents in the world! Koy has been the best baby since day one, he has been so much fun and such a blessing.

We love him more than life itself!

First of many...

Well, I'm sad to be posting this before Koy is even one but we had our first trip to the ER Sunday night. Koy fell on the corner of the rock fireplace and scared his mom and dad to death. We were pretty sure he would need a couple stitches but after hearing the option of straping him down to a Papoos Board (sounds nice eh?) or giving him a shot of ketamine (or what I call the 50 first dates drug) glueing it sounded great to me! The ER doc felt that it would probably scar a little either way. So, we had to wrap Koy up really tight in a blanket while the dr cleaned it with soap, stretched it a couple times to make sure it would split anymore, and then put about 4 coats of glue on it. Koy was screaming, sweating, and tears were rolling down his cheeks. I was crying pretty hard too when we had to hold him down for so long. Brig nearly punched the dr when he tried to see if the cut would split for the fourth time. We now know the overwhelming feeling when your own flesh and blood is hurting, a feeling we could definetly do without! Monday morning he was up a moving like nothing happened depite the goosegg! It no doubt could have been a lot worse inwhich we are SO grateful. He is almost walking on his own and he is a fearless, crazy kid much like the stories I have heard about his dad. Lets just say I am now fully stocked up on steri strips and demabond glue!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Our Magoos first Halloween...

Koy wasn't so sure about sitting in his pumpkin. It was a little cold on the inside,

but we got a couple smiles.

Koy had a fun outing to Hee Haw farms with cousin Boss. They loved the animals

and the noisy tractor...hence...all four parents could not get them to look at the camera.

We carved our pumpkins for family night...

Koy got help from dad, mine is the boring one...and you can tell who the artist is. Brig did not even have something to trace for his pumpkin! Not too shabby eh? Happy Halloween!

So just a little update on Koy...He has been drinking cows
milk since 9 months...and is still eating like a champ...

His dad has been making him an avid Cougar fan...

he is constantly pulling himself up on everything even the walls... he crawls all

over and loves to bounce on his knees (moms' favorite)

he has mastered going up the stairs...

and is growing up fast...sniff sniff

(P.S. Koy has a bad habit of biting everything. I even have the marks

on my knee to prove it. Any advice? Telling him "No no!" just isn't cutting it!)

My uncle Jordan left on his mission to Brazil today...

We sure are going to miss him!!! Go get 'em Elder Duckett!!!

Last night I came home from a 12 hour work day to

a bathed, fed, clean diapered, happy baby, all the bottles

and pumping paraphernalia washed,

4 yes count them 1,2,3,4 clean bathrooms

including toilets, all doorknobs disinfected (what inspired this? who knows)

3 loads of folded laundry, a yummy

smelling house thanks to

emptied garbage cans and smelly burning oils, and dinner in the works.

Yes I am married to MR. MOM!!! and I LOVE him to pieces!!!!

Cousin Sadie...

Dear little SADIE...we know that you are one of our

FAITHFUL blog readers so we thought we would

dedicate this one to YOU to let you know what

we have been up to...

Koy is getting his top 4 TEETH

all at the same time

so we have been eating otter pops at PAPAS house...

Uncle Brig, Koy, and Me went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House...and it was REALLY REALLY pretty...

Aunt ALY gave Koy his FIRST hair cut...

We have been MISSING all 7 of the CRAZY cousins...And missing YOU a LOT a LOT!!!
(Koy ate so good for you, Sadie...I think your open mouth helped too!) Also we have been running like you told me to for my next "bootie check!" We love and miss you! Talk to you soon!!!

Favorites...

Check out these 3 little monkeys...they are the

cutest things ever and I cannot

wait to watch them grow up together. July has been busy

and so much fun- being with family.

A lot of our time was spent oooing and

ahhing over our 3 new little creations.

Koy (7 mo), Sophie (5 mo), and

Hanssen (2 mo) are already best buddies. Being pregnant

with my 2 sisters

was so fun and I am so blessed to have such great advice and

support from them!

Our 4th was a blast in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole! Many

memories and tons of laughing... I am so thankful

for my family, particularly my

sisters. They truly are the best!!!

Vacation...redefined!!!

After a week long vacation to Las Vegas with Brig's family...

We have redefined the word vacation...

Our little Mr. Magoo was such a stinker that not only did we think

about leaving him in Vegas, but we are

considering staying a family of three! (at least for quite awhile!!!)

Thanks to these two pearly whites...

everything goes straight to the mouth these days, we have a constant runny nose, and Koy insists on a binky for each tooth! We are LOVIN' the motrin though as noted in the picture above:)

He did love the big fish tank outside Cheescake Factory where various family members spent the majority of dinner, and the Shark Aquarium for the first twenty minutes at least....
Vacations will never be the same and Brig and I relaxing in the sun together for hours on end
is pretty much history! Brig and I both think we are NUTS to once again attempt a 6 hour car ride to Jackson Hole this weekend to spend with my family... but we are doing it!
Please keep us in your prayers:)...no SERIOUSLY...

And thanks to the entire Duckett/Tucker clan for putting up with us. If you never want to vacation with us again we totally understand!!! :)

6 MONTHS!!!

Our little man turned 6 months old today! His birthday

gifts consisted of a new sippy cup, his first serving of

veggies (peas I might add), and

a harmonious HAPPY BIRTHDAY song from

his Dad and Mom. What a lucky kid!

Koy is one smart little boy...hate tummy time? Learn to roll over...

So I guess tummy time is history. He first rolled over at about three and a half months but didn't do it consistently. But ever since about 4.5 months...the second we lay Koy down, he rolls right over... What a little stud! (p.s what did I blog about before I had a baby...?)

My first Easter...

thanks to my grandparents...they sure do know how to spoil me!

Define happiness...

Flowers from my husband just because, Koy's first dip in the pool with Mom and Dad...

A successful first plane ride, newphews that adore Uncle Brig, Koy holding toys...

Homemade slushes compliments of Brig after Koy is in bed, a visit from Uncle Marce,

a weekend in beautiful Arizona with my favorite girls in the WORLD....

And one happy little boy...
