COLORFUL COLORADO

Here we are...Dane and Jess and the two eskimos. (Note: see Jess's blog)...entering COLORFUL COLORADO. Don't you think they should spruce up that sign a little?
This weekend we went back to my roots! Colorado is so beautiful and I miss the simple country life sometimes. We made a trip out of it with Dad, Myrna, Dane, and Jess. We went to the old ranch, met up with Grandpa, Mary, Stacey, and Ed.
Here we are just about to embark on one of my favorite parts of the trip...the Glenwood Hot Springs. It is world known and my Dad always claims it will make you feel ten years younger...check it out at http://www.hotspringspool.com/ which was a frequent trip my family would take when I was younger. A little dip in the pool, Baskin Robins or Pizza Hut, and a scenic drive home.

We drove through Meeker and stayed the night in Craig. We ate at the golf course and went to the cemetary to see the Grandma's new headstone and leave flowers for her and Uncle David.
It was a really great trip and brought back a lot of memories. Brig told me on the way home that he cannot believe he married a country bumpkin. He should consider himself lucky:)

Oh to be in love...

Just a little sidenote to thank Dad and Myrna for the weekend hang outs, the Jazz parties, endless lamb and bean salsa, and especially for the comfortable spare bed. I worked last night and instead of driving home, I came to Dad and Myrnas and crashed in the guest bedroom. It was heaven. The pillow top matress and extra microfiber pad were amazing. I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. Then I woke up to one of Dad's famous lamb sandwiches (which by the way is something that if you haven't tried... you haven't lived)! When people ask about my Dad I always tell people that him and his new wife are so happy and in love that it is disgusting...in a good way of course. They are two of the sweetest people I know and would both give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. They are so fun to be with and the spirit in their home is unlike anything I have ever felt. Thanks for all that you guys do...you truly are the best! And the fact that you have been to Disneyland five times in one year says it all!
